Levenhuk Rainbow 50L Microscope

Optics
The microscope comes with three objectives, which allow achieving magnifications of 40x, 100x and 400x. Working magnification changes with rotation of the revolving nosepiece. The kit also includes a Barlow lens, which increases the magnification provided by each objective two times. The out–of-the-box magnification of this microscope is 800x!

The lenses are made of high-quality optical glass that has a high level of transparency and doesn’t distort provided images. Several layers of coating increase light transmission, allowing for better results when observing with high magnification.

Illumination
The microscope is equipped with bright upper and lower LED illuminations. Lower illumination is required to observe microscopic aquarium crustaceans, examine an onion cell, or study any other transparent sample. Upper illumination is what you need for observing non-transparent objects such as paper, metal or fabric. You can also observe semi-transparent samples if you turn both lights on. Brightness is adjustable, so setting the desired level of illumination is really easy.

Body and power supply
The microscope is lightweight and durable due to the sturdy plastic body. To make observations even more comfortable, the head is designed to incline at 45° and is 360° rotatable. You don’t have to move the microscope itself during group observations, as you can simply rotate the head. You can even observe if there’s no electric outlet around – the device can be powered by batteries.

The microscope is supplied with the Levenhuk K50 Experiment Kit, which includes everything a beginning biologist may need. In the kit you will find prepared microscope slides, instruments for working with microscope samples, and a detailed user guide with useful advice and experiment descriptions.
